Investigation of Mahogany Wood Functional Parameters Effect on Procurement: The Concepts of Buckingham Pi Theorem
Abstract
Buckingham theorem a tool used to predict procurement deliverability of Mahogany wood with impact of weight and density was investigated in the study. Indeed, the research was able to demonstrate the effect of Mahogany wood, density and other contributing factors for evaluation of the tensile strength and the delivery time on the truck. The research was simulated using some functional parameters, which was inputted by the application of MATLAB computer language program. The computered parameters are the tensile strength and the delivery time and the simulation results predicted increase in tensile strength with density increasing as well as influenced with increase in weight of Mahogany leading to decrease in the tensile strength. . The combination of the Buckingham theorem of , , and constrains yielded a mathematical expression with constants coefficient of , , and . The evaluated coefficients value of is 2.205, is 0.1038 and 0.00391 which was substituted to the obtained equation of the solution. The obtained general solution of the equation can be found useful in monitoring, predicting and simulating the effect of wood density on delivery time, tensile strength and weight input on the truck.
