A Study on Flipped Learning Models in Engineering Pedagogy
Abstract
The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the existing knowledge and application of the flipped learning method within the realm of engineering education. This paper discusses Pedagogical logistics of Flipped learning models in engineering while examining various teaching models used in colleges
and universities all over India, especially NITS and IIITs. It has been the mission of the author to focus on the implementation of integration various study models in regular teaching practices. Flipped learning, as implied by its name, is an educational approach that places the learner at the center and reverts the conventional teaching and learning sequence. It can also be referred to as a recently emerging form of blended learning, contributing to a more effective integration of learning modalities. In this method, educators are tasked with providing pre-recorded class lectures and course resources through online platforms before the in-person class sessions. This design allocates face-to-face class time for collaborative group discussions and in-depth problem-solving activities.
