Magnetic Moments of Mirror Hypernuclei with X-N-Λ Configuration for 6 Λ He ∼ 6 Λ Li and 14 Λ C ∼ 14 Λ N with Hybrid Quark Model

Abstract


A microscopic method to evaluate the effective magnetic moment of hyperon inside a six-quark bag based on quark exchange current model has been described. The Schmidt formula and its modification for magnetic moments of hypernuclei with X-N-Λ in the framework of hybrid quark model has also been discussed. The modified values depend on (i) the probability of the overlap of hyperon with the nucleons and (ii) the effective magnetic moments of hyperon in the six-quark hyperon nucleon bag. We have observed that even a sizable variation in six-quark probability or the formation of bag makes a very small contribution towards the change in magnetic moments from the Schmidt values. Large variation in the values of the effective magnetic moment of a hyperon inside a six-quark hyperon-nucleon bag makes a very little difference.
