An Overview on Nuclear Imaging Scans (Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine) in Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Abstract

Nuclear medicine has major role in clinical oncology specially in tumor imaging. Under this, specific organs are evaluating or to detect presence of tumor in entire body. Nuclear medicine used to evaluate the extent of tumor at initial stage. Molecular imaging helps doctor to diagnose the accuracy of cancer. This study represents the types of nuclear medicine scan and molecular imaging in breast cancer diagnosis.
