Broadband Rectangular Top Shaped Slotted Antenna at 2 GHz for WLAN Application

Priyanka Sikarwar, Rachit Jain

Abstract

The present study is regarding the design of a broadband rectangular top shaped slotted microstrip antenna with linear polarization radiation. The glass epoxy dielectric material is used for substrate and single rectangular microstrip radiating patch. Rectangular antenna is designed for WLAN technology. We first analyze the characteristics of microstrip antenna and design for the high bandwidth. The results show that the proposed antenna is able to achieve a bandwidth of 52%. Antenna and radiation efficiency is more than 80 and 90% respectively.
