Local water market function: A demand management strategy of water scarcity

Abstract


Local water market has permanent and seasonal activities as well as it can promote more efficient water resources and value of priority settings. Water market is a buying and selling process and it introduces a function of water scarcity with demand management strategy. Government regulations can protect water and water market needs institutional frame work, environmental sustainability, economic efficiency and roles of business.
