Modeling and Simulation to Monitor Dissolved Nitrogen Depositions in Eleme Streams, River State
Abstract
This paper monitor the dissolved nitrogen deposition in stream, the study observed high rate of nitrogen content in the stream, the result from physiochemical analysis shows the rate and variation of nitrogen concentration, this pollution content were monitored applying modeling and simulation, the predictive values were generated from different stations, the result shows decreasing rate of dissolved nitrogen from all the stations, the results expresses in every points of observation shows how dispersion and variation of velocity influenced the decrease of concentration in the stream, the predictive values range from 0.02289219- 0.002291538, 0.02289219-0.001145769, 0.032049067-0.001604076, 0.036627505-0.00183323, 0.010072564-0.000504138, 0.000504138-0.000687461, 1.098825143-0.054996901, 0.000504138-0.001374923, 1.098825143-0.054996901. The study applied modeling and simulation to monitor the behaviour of nitrogen including experimental set-up, the values from both techniques were compared for model validation, and both parameters developed best fit correlation, the study is imperative, because the rate of nitrogen deposition has been observed from every dimension considered in every station, variation rate of dispersion in different station including that of stream velocity influence has also been observed, this developed different rate of concentration at distance of seventy metres, the refection of these two influential parameters has been thorough evaluated from the simulation, the study has determined precisely the source of nitrogen and its rates of deposition in the stream. Experts will definitely apply these values for further analysis on water quality studies in the environment.
