Design of Openings and Static and Vibrational Analysis of RCC Cellular Beam
Abstract
In concrete arena, RCC cellular beams have less weight compared to solid beams which in turn reduce the weight of columns and footings. All real physical structures, when subjected to loads or displacements, behave dynamically. In this study, we have performed the static analysis and vibration analysis of a three-dimensional reinforced cement concrete cellular beam. The nodal displacements have been found and the stresses are determined. The principal stresses are checked with the allowable stresses. The natural frequencies of vibration and their corresponding mode shapes were determined. Principal stress, shear stress and Von Mises stresses are verified to check for the safety of the structure.
