CONGESTION MANAGEMENT USING LMP BASED ZONAL PRICING IN COMPETITIVE POWER MARKET

Mohanbabu G, Afrin S, Asmitha B, Dhanalakshmi MP

Abstract

The development of deregulated power systems has redounded in overfilling transmission networks or network traffic. Traffic has serious goods on power systems,  including  severe  system  damage. Traffic  occurs when transmission networks fail to transfer power grounded on the cargo demand. These problems are managed using traffic pricing styles, which play an important part in current deregulated power systems. Among the numerous number of approaches request grounded traffic pricing styles are veritably accurate and stoner-friendly for estimating traffic price. So numerous request- grounded traffic pricing styles are available among them Nodal pricing called as Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP) is an effective system to give traffic price to the druggies. Thus, LMP approach has set up veritably wide acceptance throughout the world due to its essential  effective  in  the network  capacity allocation  and traffic is directly reflected  in optimal spot prices.  In this design traffic operation was done in IEEE 14 bus bench mark system by Zonal Pricing system through locational borderline price set up from optimal power in flow
