The current study recognizes the features of surfactants that are not ionic to create vegetable oils-based cutting liquid, which is palm oil used in an emulsion as an unconventional lubricant. In the industrial sector, finish on surfaces is a key determinant of quality, which makes it one of the most crucial factors to consider. This study examined the impact of various parameters associated with machining on the roughness of the surface using vegetable oil-based cutting fluid (VBCF) and palm oil as an oil-based lubricant. Spindle speed and feed rate were the cutting parameters used, and the depth of cut was maintained constant. The study's workpiece material was EN8 steel. In addition, surface roughness was further analyzed and optimized To determine the way various parameters for cutting affect the roughness of the surface, use the Taguchi method. The findings indicate that the surface roughness of EN8 steel specimens is influenced by every one of the affected factors, with the feed rate having the greatest impact.References
