Development of Strategy for Funding Resource for Maintenance of Afghanistan Road Network Using Road Tolls Collection

Road is the lifeline for the development of Afghanistan because the economic development are related to the agriculture, therefore as much the connection of roads improve that much the economy of the country will increase. The social improvements are also related to the improvement of the road so as much improved road are available that much the country will be developed, like education, health care, water and food requirement and other works is related to the road improvement. The well maintenance of the road is one of the basic factors which have strong relation with the live and comfortability of road. That is the reason to maintenance has the very important rule in road, if we want to have good and long life road we need to have good and on time maintenance. Good maintenance of road need to permanent maintenance funding resources. The basic objective of this paper is to develop maintenance funding resources for road network of Afghanistan we developing the use of road collection. We developed this strategy and find that to tolls are collected from the Regional Highway of Afghanistan. The income from this resource well totally covers all maintenance expenditure of Regional Highways of Afghanistan.Downloads
