Examination of Density and Weight Effect of Soft Woods on Tensile Strength and Deliverability Time

Ukpaka. C. P., Isenelumbe Gloria Emuobo

Abstract

The role of density and weight of soft wood was examine in this study as well as its contribution to truck performance as related to the factors required to attain the goal and objectives of the procurement as designed. The Buckingham Pi Theorem applied in this study reveals that the coefficients considered as a constrain factors was adequate to monitor and predict the significance of density and wood on the characteristics of the delivery time and tensile strength. The model and simulation was achieved by the concept of Buckingham Pi Theorem and simulated using MATLAB within the density range, delivery range and tensile strength range and the results obtained predicted increase in all the concepts monitored. This findings was able to reveal the application of Buckingham Pi Theorem in monitoring and predicting the truck performance and sustainability to perform their function with high deliverability.
