Abstract

India is agrarian country. Indian economy based on the agricultural field. It is the most important source of employment for the majority of the workforce in the country. About 70% of Indian workforce is engaged with the agricultural field for their livelihood. Among that India is a world highest percent to produce rice, accounting for 20% of all world Rice production. Rice is a more stable food in country. Develop the country is important to releasing of workforce to sector other and agriculture. Rice is usually grown by the planting rice paddy in the field manually with hands. With this method of planting of rice paddy, labor cost increase and it is very time-consuming process. To release the workforce in paddy sector mechanization plays a big role. Mechanization in r ice planting reduce labor cost and time to plant rice paddy and increase the productivity. This machine is simple and economical. Only one person can operate this machine. So the main objective of this project is to design and develop rice planting machine which will help the farmer to make the whole rice planting process mechanical resulting to reduce labor , cost of time to large extent.
