Abstract

This paper proposes an IoT-based system for real-time detection and prevention of electricity theft. The system integrates energy meters, optocouplers, relays, Arduino Uno, and Node MCU. It monitors energy usage discrepancies and automatically cuts power to users exceeding a predefined threshold. This approach offers real-time theft prevention, automatic disconnection, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure. By leveraging IoT, the system empowers utilities to improve efficiency, reduce losses, and safeguard the grid.
