Abstract
The density values of (LupY1-p) AP scintillators based on the results of a literature survey have been found strongly positively linearly correlated to the value of the parameter p, that represents the ratio of lutetium vs. yttrium oxides content by weight. Two cases of serious lack of information have been investigated to search reliable data. Further studies are in progress aimed at inferring possible unknown compositions by using the data published by researchers or manufacturers or from scintillators databases
