Abstract

Abstract

Thermo setting polymer mortars containing Resin, hardener, fly ash, Quarry dust and GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast furnace slag). Merging representation of bio phenol-A-Di-glycidyl ether-based polymer with fly ash, Quarry dust and GGBS results are presented here for this present study. An innovative process is used to prepare the specimen in mild condition with commercial thermo setting polymer-based resin and hardener, fly ash, GGBS, along with quarry-dust-based paste. Following this procedure, thermosetting-based hybrid mortar with differentiated thermalized GGBS, quarry dust content, and fly ash generated by uniform polymer dispersion has been developed. Polymer offers a more cohesive microstructure, with fewer micro-cracks and gaps, allowing these novel composite materials to outperform GGBS paste, quarry dust, and fly ash in terms of compressive strength and toughness. A microstructural description, similar to that of cement-based mortars, might highlight the existence of an interfacial transition zone. The mechanical properties of the mortar and the correlation between microstructural features were studied.
