The production process in a garment industry is categorized into Fabric sourcing, Cutting and bundling, sewing, finishing and dispatching. Sewing section is the most important and critical process, the garment is completed and is suitable to be worn. Rolls of fabric which are cut and folded are sewn to specific three dimensional shapes in very complex ways require a high level of skill and experience. For maximum production in the sewing section it’s important to minimize the making cost, reducing the movement of material and worker and correcting the bottle neck processes. The flow of material and movement of workers were considered for the study. Every manufacturer should exercise the appropriate layout planning for the garments and on doing so can increase the productivity. So we have to employ time study and efficient layout planning to increase the productivity.
