Abstract

Watches for blind person are already available, but, due to its cost, it is not affordable for the people in developing countries. In this project, main area of concern is about cost optimization of watch by modelling of wristwatch for the blind and visually challenged deaf person by using same features of simple watch. Main difference in design is that the watch face numbering is done in Louis Braille system pattern, so that the blind person can sense it by hand and can come to know time. Braille’s watch is available in analog as well as digital format, but its numbering system uses actuators and electronic components which is quite expensive, so if Louis Braille numbers system is permanently embossed on watch face and direct use of simple watch mechanism is done then it will reduce cost of watch.
