Abstract

This paper focuses on Bailey construction method which is Fast, easy to install, safe and most importantly economic. To demonstrate this, we have considered a site (Patri pool, Kalyan) which requires fast bridging. We have designed and analyzed the bridge using Midas civil software. Along with its design and analysis we also have presented cost estimation of the bridge and compared it with traditional methods of bridging and proved Bailey method to be economic and thus saves up on a large sum of money which may be used for other development works. To provide strong evidence for the effectiveness of this method we have also attached a few examples of bridges that are constructed using this method across the Globe. In a nutshell we have presented an approach for bridging which is fast, safe, and most importantly economic.
