Voltage Sag Mitigation with Different FACTS Devices: State of Art

Neha Raj, Sooraj Kumar Chourasia, Amit Kumar Vishwakarma

Abstract

The power system's internal and external variables, however, have an impact on the quality of the power delivered. The system's performance suffers from harmonics, voltage, and frequency changes. Voltage fluctuation, a common issue with power quality, is covered in this paper. The most prevalent issue is a sag or dip in voltage. To solve this issue, there are several approaches. FACTS device usage is one of them and is effective. An overview of the role played by FACTS devices such the DVR, D-STATCOM, and auto-transformer in reducing voltage sag is provided in this Paper.
