IoT-Based Healthcare Monitoring for COVID-19 Home Quarantined Patients

Abstract


4–5 days after a person contracts the COVID virus, symptoms typically start to show. It's possible for some people's symptoms to go undetected for up to two weeks. Fever, lightheadedness, headaches, dyspnea, dry coughs that eventually produce phlegm, and in rare instances, loss of taste and smell are the predominant symptoms of COVID 19 infection. Rashes and other skin issues have sporadically been reported. One example is the reddish-purple spots that some COVID-19 patients get on their fingers or toes. The patient in home quarantine must be constantly watched. Temperature, oxygen saturation, sweat production, heart rate, breathing, and other data are needed to develop the system for such patients or persons. The pulmonary sensor monitors breathing, the heartbeat sensor detects heart attacks or discomfort in the chest, the oxygen sensor gauges the body's oxygen saturation, and the temperature sensor detects fever. The suggested system keeps track of breathing rate, body
temperature, pulse rate, and oxygen levels, all of which are COVID-19 symptoms. Received values are electronically transferred to a COVID centre or hospital that is close by. Also, this data is kept on the Center server.
