Abstract

The concept of pot holes has come into context since many years. The current techniques and methodology of construction of roads have reached goals of urban transport. Due to current traffic conditions, variation of temperature, weather, water logging, etc. result in cracks or pot holes. Efficient use of techniques, modes of repairs, minimizing the causes of pot holes will help to save huge amount of funds and that can be used for research. The paper attempts to study the challenges faced while repairing potholes, reason of cracking, and using polymer or plastic waste in filling of potholes. In this study, reviewing of different methods and materials will be aimed. The machinery used for pothole filling is a technological development and should be promoted for more efficient modes of road construction and maintenance.
